The Panel

Daniel Lanyon

Editor, AltFi

Daniel is the Editor of AltFi, focusing on coverage of investment in alternative credit and private debt. He was formerly a senior and award-winning journalist at FE Trustnet and has also worked at The Times, BBC and Reuters.

Zac Gazit

Director at Cogress

A dynamic Director with extensive experience of working in and with technology start-ups. His previous roles have included Strategic Consultant at Gilon Yaad, specialising in  global Hi-Tech industries and working in particular with seed ventures and technology startups. More recently, Zac has worked as Business Development Director at Cogress. He is responsible for relationships with HNW Investors, family offices, funds and institutional investors.  Zac is also involved in supporting the business strategically in its continued expansion.

Benno Jering

Principal at Redline Capital (UK) Limited

Benno previously worked at two Tech-focused investment banks in London. Prior to that, he was with Credit Suisse, where he focused on M&A, Equity and Leveraged Finance transactions in the TMT sectors. Benno holds a Business degree from Warwick Business School. Redline Capital is a global Venture Capital and Growth Equity fund investing in fast-growing companies with differentiated technologies across North America, Europe, and Israel.

Xavier Ballester

Director at Angel Investment Network

In just over 5 years the Angel Investment Network’s broking division has helped 140 start-up and expanding companies raise around £40 million. They have a network of 42 websites covering 80+ countries – the largest angel network in the world. Xavier has been part of the company for 12 years and also runs AIN’s property division that helps property developers across the UK raise money for development projects

Rod Lockhart

Managing Director at LendInvest Capital

Rod joined LendInvest in 2015. He spent more than 10 years at CBRE where he was a Senior Director in its corporate finance division. There he advised UK and global institutional fund and pension scheme clients on direct and indirect real estate investments, including unlisted funds, REITs, joint ventures and real estate debt. LendInvest Capital provides finance to property professionals and provides a platform for individuals and institutions to invest in property-backed loans.
