Hampstead is located in the London Borough of Camden, in the north-west region of inner London.
Well-known areas of Hampstead include Belsize, Gospel Oak, Swiss Cottage and Vale of Heath. It is a relatively small town, based around four miles north-west of Charing Cross, one of the main areas of Westminster.
